Nuggets 89, Lakers 92
It was great to see Bynum back at center. He owned the paint on both ends with key shots and blocks. My concern with Bynum has always been that he’s injury-prone, so I hesitated when he dove out of bounds in the first half for the loose ball. Fisher’s hustle play in the fourth was the emotional turnaround the team needed. Without that play, we may not have had the urgency for this...

Knicks vs Lakers
This game is the best example of this group playing as a TEAM. The game was far from perfect but the Lakers’ defense never let the Knicks get their offense going. Kobe had a great game and Matt Barnes was given minutes and put them to good use, likely earning his spot back in the rotation. Next game is against Denver on Ne Year’s Eve.

Lakers 2012, Jazz v Lakers
It took three games but the Lakers finally got their first victory of the 2011-12 season. I don’t know if many fans will jump to the social networks and begin talking about the Lakers now being back on track to a championship; that is not the case. The Lakers definitely looked like a different team than the one that was simply destroyed by the Kings last night. This team is still incomplete...

Lakers 2012, Lakers v Kings
Wow. The Lakers start the season 0-2. Both games have presented COMPLETE breakdowns by the Lakers in the closing minutes. Do any Laker fans out there still want to argue with me that the current lineup needs no changes? Anybody who does, really has those purple and gold blinders on. I love the Lakers but I’ve always been realistic and this lineup needs to be shaken up. The Kings just...

Lakers 2012 Game 1
Once again the Lakers lose on Christmas. This was a complete breakdown by the Lakers in the last minutes. With a 9 point victory they were slow to loose balls, they gave up 3s, and they missed free throws. Four straight free throws to be exact. The sequence that actually got the Bulls the victory was simply awful. It was like the referees swallowed their whistles. The trapping players fouled...

2012 Lakers
Well, as expected, the Lakers have a lot of work to do if they are to remain with the current lineup. There are some promising young guys but where we stand now it does look like there may be role reversals between the Lakers and Clippers.

It doesn’t even matter that I hate both teams currently playing or that it’s a preseason game, I’m finally watching an NBA basketball game.
