Dwight Howard asks for trade to Brooklyn →
Can this trade happen already! I’m tired of the Dwight Howard soap opera. We’ve known for over a year he’s done with the Magic and wants to be a Net. Get this over with.

The Dodgers
It looks like another 9 scoreless innings by the Dodgers. At this rate, we’ll be at the bottom of the division by the All-Star game.

2012 NBA Draft
The draft is tomorrow. Anthony Davis will go to New Orleans and Thomas Robinson will probably go to Charlotte. Beyond that, I think it’s a toss up. It’s times like these I wish I was a full-time basketball analyst, getting paid to live, eat, and breathe basketball.

Dodgers vs Giants
Good game by Kershaw but we simply have no offense right now. The Dodgers haven’t scored a run since the 6th inning of Sunday’s game against the Angels.

mijajaja:
Chicago viaducts begin to resemble Los Angeles, I pick the pavement apart with each of my senses. I repeat this city’s name silently, twice a day— at least. I say it, Los Angeles, accentuating las vocales the spanish way. Like my abuelita does. Like everybody in the barrio does. Los Anhellis. …

Pain Leads to Growth
Kevin Durant broke down when he hugged his mom after tonight’s loss. The smart ones learn from losses and use those losses as fuel. Durant will be a tougher player next year.

Oklahoma City Thunder
The shot of Westbrook, Durant, and Harden embracing each other is priceless. Embrace this loss, guys. It will fuel you next season.

Thunder vs Heat, game 5
Game. Series. Ring.
The Heat are destroying the Oklahoma City Thunder right now. I guess Lebron will get one of the seven he promised.
I still don’t like Miami or James. But give credit where credit is due. Basketball requires you win series. You don’t get lucky four times. The Heat outplayed the Thunder and will win this series. Congrats to the Heat.
Damn. No more basketball...

Thunder vs Heat, game 5
A flagrant foul? Don’t get me wrong, it looks like the Heat will win tonight. That said, that is a terrible call. Anybody who thinks that’s a flagrant foul on Fisher has either never played tough basketball, or is watching this with Heat blinders on.

Tomorrow morning I’ll be driving off to Vegas to begin infoComm preparations. Looking forward to it this year. Vegas infoComm is much better than humid, Orlando infoComm.

2012 NBA Finals Are Set
The Finals will begin this Tuesday in Oklahoma City. Stern has been wanting Durant and James to shine and his wish has come true.
This should be a good matchup but I still don’t think it will go Lebron’s way.
The Thunder have been BUILT from the ground up to win championships. Each player was drafted or otherwise brought in to serve a specific purpose.
On the other hand, the...

Celtics vs Heat, game 7
Well, it looks like this is it for Boston. They’ve gone cold and have no answer for this Heat 4th quarter surge.

Heat vs Celtics, game 6
I don’t like Lebron but you gotta give credit where credit is due. He played the best game I’ve ever seen from him. On to game 7.

Spurs vs Thunder, game 6
Damn. I thought the Spurs could do it before the game started.
I only take comfort in the fact that Durant has the chance to win a ring before Lebron gets it.
I rooted against OKC because they beat the Lakers and because the spurs looked like they played the best true basketball. Clearly I was wrong. Now I will root for OKC simply because I’ve always been a fan of Kevin Durant. I...

Same Old Clippers →
Clippers’ general manager, Neil Olshey, worked the entire season with the Clippers without a contract. Without a contract, as if he needed to prove his worth, Olshey orchestrated the Chris Paul deal, brought in Chauncey Billups, Kenyon Martin, and Nick Young. Thanks to these moves, the Cippers had the most successful season in their history. Yet, the organization still dragged their feet on...

NBA Conference Finals
Both the western and eastern series are tied at 2 games a piece. This will be a great week of basketball.

Heat vs Celtics, game 4
The last play of the 4th quarter is a clear indication the Heat’s biggest issue is actually their coach. The Heat had the final play and what did they run? An isolation play for Lebron. Lebron James has shown time and time again that he wants options when he has the ball. James is not a “give me the ball and get out my way” type of player. Set up movement for him and let him...
I realize it’s late but I’ll be at infoComm in a week or 2. If there’s anything specific you’d like to see, let me know.
