Dodgers Get Victorino
Well, I’ve always hated his attitude but I have to give him a chance now that he’s a Dodger. This likely means he’ll move to left and our outfield now consists Kemp, Ethier, and Victorino. That’s not bad.

It is sad to wake up in the morning only to hear that a coward opened fire on a sold out movie theater crowd. My heart truly goes out to the victims and their families. Movie theaters for years have been places that grant us the ability to forget our problems for a few hours. This story will rock many simply because millions of us enjoy the experience of movie theaters. Many of us are parents...

Roosters Texas BBQ
We just had an early dinner at this place. It’s just off the main Nashville strip but I don’t think many outside people find it. The food is simply excellent, their BBQ sauce is deliciously hot. I had a plate with brisket, sausage, and ribs. The ribs were falling off the bone! Absolutely recommend this place.

I’m flying back to Los Angeles today. I can’t wait for the plane to descend as it heads towards the Burbank runway. The descent usually provides a glimpse of our Los Padres and Angeles National forests. My next trip, Atlantic City in August for the DJ Expo.

Stop Calling Los Angeles a Desert →
This is an excellent piece by environmental writer Chris Clarke. The idea of Los Angeles as a desert has been purported mainly by politicians fighting over water rights.  Yes, there are sections of the county that can be classified as deserts. But there are so many areas of the city where the weather is almost always excellent and vegetation is plentiful. There are even parts of our city where...

I’m bummed that I’ve had little time to write lately but things have gotten a bit crazy. I love sports and I love writing but it doesn’t pay my bills (be nice if it did). I’ve been busy with writing for work and other projects and now I’m in Nashville for Summer NAMM so it will be another busy week.

Deadmau5 Admits the "Live" DJ Show is Mostly an... →
I was originally surprised Deadmau5 came out and admitted this but now I realize it’s actually smart on his part. He admitted the work is put in where it matters, the studio. After all, whether you like the genre or not (I’m not a fan), this is ELECTRONIC MUSIC. It is the studio where your skills should shine. The live shows are made for people to party and forget about the world for a...

NBA Free Agency
Deron Williams will sign with the Nets. This off-season’s player deals all depended on Williams’ decision. Now that it’s settled, we will begin to see all other free agents land in their future homes. The Nets signed Joe Johnson earlier today, likely to entice Williams. They gave up five players to secure Johnson, in the process dealing away any pieces they could use to grab...
